OK ... So what is the Palm*Grove all about? What is its true essence?
Well Its all about growth, personal growth, group growth, growth of human-kind.
You have to grow, personally ,you must continue to advance, if you do not move forward, you will move backward.
Its about learning, testing, experimenting, and discovering.
The best way to grow is to learn , experiment, test and discover - new things and ideas.
Its about balance, balance in the world, the universe, and in oneself.
One must have balance in there life. Like making a cake, life is a recipe. if you have too much sugar and not enough egg, it wont hold together.
You have to have some work, some responsibility, some spiritual activities, and some fun and abit of this and a bit of that.
You have to feed and care for the animal self, as well as the spiritual self. ( again more on this later)
And its about finding fun and enjoyment in life and the world.
I had a customer I was helping at work , the other day, and after explaining to him that he couldnt do what he wanted to do, Due to intercountry politics, he told me: " You know - living in this world isnt much fun any more."
Well I didnt want to get into a discussion about that at the work place, and all in all I had to agree with him on that point.
But its because people and society and countries have made it that way.
People these days are all about the bottom line. Whats in it for them, how can we control other people, how can we stay on top of the mountain.
They forget to put a little fun and happiness back into their life.
Its about everyone and everything.
Ok Great !!! Everyone and everything. Thats just great! can you narrow it down abit?
Nope! I cant,there is simply too much to encompass.
Fine. So what are you really trying to accomplish with this grove thing anyway? Whats the bottom line? put it in a nutshell for us.
What I am trying (very hard) to create here is a group, a community of different people from different areas, and different background and different skill sets and theologies and philosophies that can get together locally and online to help one another and to grow and to learn and experiment and evolve.
As I have said many times before I do not care what God or diety you believe in, nor how you pray to your personal god, everyone is different and even within the christian church and the wiccan communities people have wide and varied views about god.( goddess) and how best to communicate with - him-her-it- them.
The Grove is concerned with Man's personal growth Through techniques stated above, and others,, and mankinds place in the multiverse, and mankinds evolutionary progression.
The grove is also concerned with the other species of creatures in the multiverse and especially in the realms and here on earth.
These include but are not limited to : Gaia, Nadura, and their children, Plants animals, birds, fish and aquatic beasts, the biosphere, the condition of space ( and how we are effecting it) and other relevent green realm beings;
The Gods and the Dieties. IF we forget them they will fade away. To give them life they must be remembered and charished.
The Fae and the fairy folk. For they are alive and well and really pissed off at us.
And other spirit kind.
The ancestors, both ancient and personal. For they exist just beyond the realm of our vision. and can aide us when called upon.
AS well as others not mentioned here and those soon to be discovered.
The grove is interested in teaching mankind once again to be brothers, and allies, not enemies.
The grove is interested in learning the ancient ways, myths and legends, and bringing them into the 21st century, into real life where you can use them in everyday life.
And the grove is about creating new history.
History , myths and legends are not static. people believe that they are because they have only read the old ones. but history is ever changing, as time moves steadily forward.
Some one at some time did some great thing , and to put it into posterity a story of his, or her adventures was set down on paper or orally and passed through the ages. OR a myth or legend was created to tell people the best way to live or to accomplish something.
Folks : this is how the "Holy Bible" was created ( believe it or not)
But the ancient ones are not the only ones out there, time moves steadily forward , and new people and events are happening all the time. New myths and legends can be created, to help our children of the future learn and grow, and remember.
Its like building a house. If all you have is a bunch of "rough carpenters" the house will never get done.
You need the "rough carpenters" to flesh out the structure, but you also need Finishing carpenters, electricians, plumbers, roofers, window and door hangers, painters, masons, and even lanscapers to make it complete ( among other things). and lets not forget the archetect who created the floor plan to begin the whole thing.
The same with the Palm*Grove, it takes people with different ideas and skill sets to make it complete, but people who can agree on a basic set of ideals, to come together to work towards building that house.
I have tried to keep the spiritual tenets as simple and straight forward as I could while still giving some fundamental structure to the whole thing.
Tenets that all can and should be able to embrace no matter where they live or what religious sect they currently belong to.
To build a community of people that wish to help each other out , to share information and ideas, to learn to enjoy life once again, to overcome the obstacles that stand in there way of true insight and happiness in life, to experiment with other techniques, ideas, and ways from around the world,
and to have fun.
WE can all help each other out on a spiritual level, if some one has a need, and one type of spiritual leader can not get the job done, or the person does not want help in a certain fashion or method perhaps another one can.
WE might all do a combined meditaion to help that person, or have a wiccan do a spell, or a druid do a ritual, or hands on healing, or have a christian church member do a prayer vigil. the more different paths we have the stronger we become, because we all have more vairied areas to work from and with.
AND Everybody - Yes I said EVERYBODY! no matter what you believe in or church or spiritual organisation you belong to - has something that they can contribute to the whole.
TO spread the word around the globe and into to cosmos that Life can and should be enjoyed, but also that WE as humankind are not the only creatures that are important. And we as the current ruling class of species have a responsilbilty to help and to carefor Gaia and her children, across the globe. IT is our job, our function, and our purpose for being here.
And yes the Grove is interested in growing financially. Unfortuantely the best way to change the world is to have congress enact new laws that will protect what we have, and the only way to do that is to pay them off. it take cash .
It also takes money to create new areas where the creatures of the world can live and be safe, and it takes money to spread the word of total life balance to everyone.
WE will soon be starting up a fund for just that purpose, and creating an online avenue that people can donate to.
WE want people to join us on a local level, to come to the meetings and work and play and celebrate and learn together in person, but we also want people across the country and around the world to join us as well.
Either alone or in a subgroup of your own, flying under the banner of the Palm*Grove, or your own church, grove, or coven etc... in person or online, in this way we will have a better chance of getting the message out to more and more people everywhere.
And create more funds for the mother grove to use towards these goals, of Global community service and help.
WE want people from the druid sects, christian sects, eastern sects, wiccan sects, etc... to join us so that we may learn and grow together, and work together to build a better tomarow for our children's children's children. and beyond
WE want people that wish to broaden their horizons and advance their knowledge and wisdom, that want to work together and learn to enjoy all parts of life once again, and who can have an open mind - that can accept new ideas and ways, and not sit there and argue that theirs is the only correct way and everyone else is a heathen, and is wrong.
WE are ever learning, changing and evolving to fir waht we have learned and adapt to the changing world around us .
WE currently have a loose structure that allows for more growth of the group and the individual members.
